Specialized polyurea elastomers provide concrete surfaces with effective humidity and erosion protection. These materials have water-repellent properties and prevent undesired contact of concrete with water and dissolved salts which can result in concrete surface degradation. Isocyanate, one of components of elastomeric compound, reacts with residual moisture in concrete, binding it chemically. Moisture content in concrete exceeding 4% provides the need to change the ratio of compound agents with increase of isocyanate content to avoid undesirable events such as blubbling of polymeric membrane, cratering and other negative developments of excessive moisture content in the process of surface film polymerization.

Two component composition containing no VOC (volatile organic compounds) presents pure polyurea composition (completely based on amines and polyetheramines) which is developed for concrete restoration and protection from corrosion, erosion and moisture.  This elastomer allows to avoid practically all problems related to air pockets formation in the most polyurea goods. This polyurea coating can be applied to a surface at the temperature from -1°С to +176°С. Subject to thorough preparation and adherence to applying technology, aromatic polyurea composition has excellent chemical and thermal stability and is not exposed to UV radiation. 

To avoid undesired bloating and peeling of polymer membrane protective coating, special primers are used for surface preparation to the application of basic protective layer, which improves elastomer adhesion to the surface. The primers penetrate into microcracks and «seal» them that provides prefect smooth surface of concrete structure without blistering and pockets, with increasing the concrete resistance to erosion, impact and abrasion stresses at the same time. Also, the primers stick chips together and remove surface irregularities reducing by that the amount of polymeric coating required to form seamless protective membrane.
